Watch as Hugh Jackman Hilariously Ends His "Truce" With Ryan Reynolds

The "truce" between X-Men's Hugh Jackman and Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds was never realistically going to last long… but we expected more than a week.

The former co-stars have been trading hilarious insults on social media for years, despite the fact that their 2009 movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine was already the biggest insult of all. (See? Even we're getting in on it now.)

But last week, Ryan Reynolds announced an "official truce" with his mortal enemy, and revealed that he'd be making an ad for Jackman's coffee company, Laughing Man, as "a gesture of goodwill."

That ad arrived on Wednesday, but the joke turned out to be on Deadpool: In his ad, which aired first, Reynolds lavished praise on the "Hugh-conic" coffee company, calling it the "superhero of beverages."

Then it was Jackman's turn to return the favor by saying a few kind words about Ryan's Aviation Gin, but Jackman took a slightly different approach.

"Ryan Reynolds is a complete and total f**king asshole," Jackman deadpanned. "The gin's pretty great though. I'll have to try it someday."

Considering both of these guys have the Healing Factor, we have a feeling this rivalry could go on for a long time-preferably, in the form of a real Wolverine vs Deadpool showdown that fans have been clamoring for since that X-Men Origins snoozefest. Disney, after all, is already planning to make several more Deadpool movies.
