Watch Dr. Pimple Popper Pull Out a 'Popcorn Kernel' Dilated Pore of Winer
In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper plucks out a giant blackhead that looks exactly like a kernel of popcorn.
A blackhead of this size is commonly called a dilated pore of Winer, which is essentially a large blackhead in a single enlarged pore.
The large "hole" left behind by this extraction is a single pore that has been stretched by compacted contents.
In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper—aka dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD—plucks out a giant blackhead that looks exactly like a kernel of popcorn. Get ready because the resemblance is truly wild.
In the clip, you can see Dr. Lee numb the area, then go in with a pair of tweezers to pluck the dilated pore of Winer out. With a careful tug of the tweezers, she’s able to pull out the sticky compacted contents in one piece.
“There we go,” she says as she inspects the popcorn kernel-like growth. “That’s a nice one.” Then, for good measure, there’s an instant replay of the sticky pop.
Dr. Lee captioned the clip with a popcorn emoji, clearly playing on the fact that this “pop” looks like a kernel of exploded corn.
A blackhead of this size is commonly called a dilated pore of Winer. A dilated pore of Winer is essentially a large blackhead compacted in a single enlarged pore. This means the large crater left behind by this extraction is actually a single pore that has been stretched from the contents gathering inside. It's truly wild.
