Washington-Wilkes Spring Tour of Homes April 6
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF)– We have a lot of beautiful communities here the CSRA, but one in particular is filled with gorgeous architecture and great people.
Washington, Georgia is just about an hour from Augusta. The big Spring Tour of Homes is coming up Saturday, April 6th. You can discover 250 years of American heritage in house museums, battle sites and churches that tell the story of this small town with the big history.
Get an intimate look inside a selection of seven privately owned homes, explore the rich architecture and learn about the savory secrets that have kept folks talking for more than two centuries. Some of the homes featured include Chantilly Plantation, Boyd Cottage and Randolph Mansion.
The Artist Market is filled with beautiful works, including pottery, photography and jewelry, along with paintings. Some of the artists include Mark Albertson, Dave Wheeler, Angela Potts, June Clement and Johnnie Mills.
You can also enjoy lunch during the day at the Washington Women’s Club for $15.
The Spring Tour of Homes and Art Show is coming up Saturday, April 6th, starting at 10AM. Tickets are $30 and there’s a $10 ticket for additional attractions.
You can buy tickets day off at the tour headquarters at First Baptist Church on Robert Tombs Avenue. The home tour runs until 4PM and the artist market is open until 5PM. A complimentary shuttle service will be running throughout the day.
