The New Walmart Find That Will Turn Your Next Meal Into One From Texas Roadhouse
For most of us, our first introduction to steak comes via our local middling steakhouse chain like Longhorn, Outback, or Texas Roadhouse. And while you could argue that one is better than the other (our vote is for all three), they all serve up similarly delicious hearty dishes (here's lookin' at you, Bloomin’ Onion). Deep-fried golden onion petals aside, the real deciding factor of which restaurant is the best hinges on nothing more than the humble dinner roll, and Texas Roadhouse takes the crown hands down, no contest.
Surprisingly, founded in Indiana and headquartered in Kentucky, the neon-tinged rodeo chain is famous for its peanut shell-littered floors and southwestern-inspired culinary fare. Most of all, though, diners flock to the cowboy corral over and over again just to get a taste of those craveably delicious honey-buttered rolls. The chain’s rolls are so famous, in fact, that they’ve spawned dozens of replica recipes online in an attempt to recreate their signature yeasty sweet flavor, but nothing can quite compare to the original. That is unless you’ve got the OG rolls in your freezer.

Now, thanks to Walmart, you can simply traipse over to the freezer and pull out a box of officially branded Texas Roadhouse Mini Rolls with sticky, sweet honey cinnamon glaze included. Word of the limited test run came to us from none other than well-informed food blogger @markie_devo, and their incredibly thorough reporting has us booking our next flight to try and snag a few boxes for ourselves. Officially making their debut on June 29, the Texas Roadhouse-inspired 12-pack box of rolls will be available at 212 Walmart locations across Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky, with the potential for a national rollout later this year.
All it takes to have hot, pillowy soft rolls ready in time for dinner is a 30-minute pass in a 350°F oven before glazing the delicious buttery squares with honey cinnamon goodness. To really bring home the Texas Roadhouse vibes, you can even pick up a tub of Walmart’s Bettergoods Cinnamon Honey Butter, a certified dupe for the chain’s own drool-worthy spread. Of course, fans we’re thrilled at word of the delicious new freezer find with the one saying, “It’s a dream come true ??” Our sentiments exactly.
