Victoria's Secret Angel Martha Hunt Proudly Shows Off Her Scars, Says 'Imperfection Is Beautiful'
Most of us can't help but fangirl over the seemingly flawless women that make up Victoria's Secret army of angels. But while these ladies exude perfection, they aren't without their scars-as angel Martha Hunt so kindly reminded us through a recent series of tweets.
Scars are uniquely beautiful and they tell a triumphant story about you. I have a long one down my back and one on my lower right abdomen.

I wouldn't be who I am without my scars. What are yours? I urge you to wear them with pride.. #imperfectionisbeautiful

"Scars are uniquely beautiful and they tell a triumphant story about you. I have a long one down my back and one on my lower right abdomen," she tweeted. "I wouldn't be who I am without my scars. What are yours? I urge you to wear them with pride. #imperfectionisbeautiful"
Instead of trying to cover up her so-called imperfections, the 27-year-old American model has decided to embrace them, especially because they tell a story of strength and perseverance.
The long scar on her back is from scoliosis, a condition that causes an abnormal, sideways curvature of the spine. Martha believes it is her struggle with this condition that has made her into the person she is today, which is why she wears her scars with pride.
"Although I lived with the negative stigma of scoliosis, I turned it into a positive thing in my life," Martha told the Scoliosis Research Society. "It was my ultimate motivation for a strong body and strong mind."
Her positive mindset and never-give-up attitude have been inspirational-especially for her fans who have shared their support through several tweets of their own.
i seriously love you for this, i have insecurities about my scars everyday and you make me see them in a new light
