The slip-on style is convenient, too.
I just did a major shoe cleanout and realized two things: 1) I own way too many pairs for my own good and 2) Vivaia is clearly one of my favorite footwear brands. I own multiple styles from the label, which has been worn by Katie Holmes, Julia Roberts, and Naomi Watts. So, you already know I jumped at the chance to try the brand’s new Urban Slip-On Sneaker (I did get rid of 36 pairs, after all… ).
Vivaia’s first-ever performance sneaker takes a step away from its traditional heels and flats, offering wearers a sporty unisex option, starting at $119. Available in both water-repellant wool and breathable mesh upper materials, the kick includes an anti-slip bottom, cushioned insole, spacious toe box, heel cup for stability, and arch support to relieve foot pressure. Choose from 15 colorways and sizes 5 to 13.5.

The shoe’s effortlessly trendy design is what initially drew me to the style, boasting a flared heel, ribbed tongue, lightweight silhouette, and chunky supermodel-inspired look. The slip-on closure makes it that much better, only requiring you to tie the laces once for the perfect fit. After that, simply slip it on and go; it’s without a doubt one of the easiest shoes in my wardrobe — but it's the sneaker’s comfort that took it to the next level.
I knew the brand had done it again after I wore the Urban Slip-On shoe around NYC for a full day; the true test of any shoe. After hours of scaling subway stairs, dodging sidewalk cracks, and conquering miles, my feet were happy and blister-free. There was even one spring day that was particularly rainy, but my feet stayed warm and dry, shielded by the water-repellant wool version. I’ve continued to wear the plush shoe ever since, relying on the cloud-like trainer for over two months.
Shoppers are just as impressed with the sneaker, equating it’s comfort-level to “flying” and “walking on air.” Another reviewer who struggled with bunions even claimed that the shoe was “comfortable from day one!” The moral of the story? This slip-on tennis shoe is it.
Styling the everyday kick is a breeze, too. I wear mine with leggings and a crewneck or rolled-up jeans and a T-shirt. Since the weather’s getting warmer, biker shorts and an oversized zip-up hoodie are totally on the table, while a blazer can dress the trainer up.
