I’m grabbing everything from linen pants to flattering swimsuits during its summer sale.

Between this weekend’s 90-degree temperatures and finally booking a beach vacation, I decided it was time to get serious about revamping my summer wardrobe, and J.Crew was an obvious place to start. I’ve been eyeing its summer collection—which is full of breezy dresses, elevated linens, and chic swimsuits—since it dropped, and with an excuse to finally shop it, I started revisiting my favorite pieces only to discover they’d been majorly marked down.

I’m really picky when it comes to summer shorts: I don’t want something too short or tight, breathability is essential, and I’d prefer that they didn’t look like PJ bottoms. Fortunately, J.Crew’s Pleated Capeside shorts check all of my boxes. The 42-percent-off style is made from a lightweight, cotton blend, hits mid-thigh, and features pleated details that elevate the classic summer style.
