USC Confirms Lori Loughlin's Daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella Are No Longer Enrolled
For nearly six months, Lori Loughlin's daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella Giannulli's admission status at the University of Southern California hung in the air after news broke their parents allegedly paid $500,000 to make the girls appear as rowing team recruits to guarantee their admission to the school.
The girls were not attending classes, but they were also not allowed to withdraw. Their time in limbo is now over though: They're out now, officially. The USC Registrar told People yesterday that “Olivia Jade Giannulli and Isabella Rose Giannulli are not currently enrolled." The school would not confirm whether or not they were expelled because of the college scandal. "We are unable to provide additional information because of student privacy laws.”
The school last gave a statement on the girls' admission status in April. Then, their admission was on hold: “USC has placed holds on the accounts of students who may be associated with the alleged admissions scheme,” the college told Us Weekly. “This prevents the students from registering for classes (until they have agreed to participate in the review of their case), withdrawing from the university, or acquiring transcripts while their cases are under review. Among many factors investigators could consider in reviewing each case are any developments in the criminal cases, including plea deals by parents. Following these case-by-case reviews, we will take the proper action related to each student’s status, up to revoking admission or expulsion.”
Sources during that time painted Isabella as more interested in her education than Olivia, a YouTuber, although Olivia also really wanted to go back to USC in May...for image reasons.
"Olivia has been talking to friends about returning to USC and while it seems odd after everything that's happened, she is concerned about her image and seems to want to prove she can complete the classes and graduate," Entertainment Tonight's source said at the time. "After being dropped by her brands, she's worried she won't ever get back on track without an education. She's afraid she'll always be regarded as someone incapable of getting into a good school, and will always be seen as that girl whose family paid her way in.”
In August, Olivia was over USC, Entertainment Tonight was told by a source. "Olivia has no plans to return to USC. She never wanted to attend USC to begin with, and now she is sure that USC isn't the place for her," the source said. "Right now her goal is to rebuild her brand and her business."
