Union County Museum opens doors on Mother’s Day

UNION — Continuing a long-standing tradition, the Union County Museum, 333 S. Main St. in Union, opens its doors for the 2024 season on Mother’s Day, May 12, from 1-4 p.m. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.
The Union County Museum Society’s mission is collecting, preserving and presenting the county’s history. The museum has five buildings with exhibits covering more than 150 years.
After Mother’s Day, the museum will be open Wednesday to Saturday. The regular hours will be 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. until September. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, and $3 for students (age 6 and older).
The volunteer-run museum is funded by membership fees, admission fees, gift shop sales and donations. Grants have helped fund specific projects and numerous exhibits, expansions and facility upgrades. The 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization welcomes tax deductible gifts. Memberships start at just $10 a year and volunteers are always welcome.
