Two New Women Arrive! Who Went Home on ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Week 5?
ABC
The war for the roses erupted on Thursday night’s Bachelor in Paradise as men worried about getting eliminated in the ladies’ choice ceremony.
After his breakup with Rachel Recchia, who ran off with Brayden Bowers, Sean McLaughlin thought he’d be going home.
His buddy Aaron Schwartzman, whose love Sam Jeffries left last week after a pooping crisis, had similar fears.
But a new woman arrived to raise their hopes.
Read on to find out what happened tonight on Bachelor in Paradise Week 5.
Who arrived tonight on Bachelor in Paradise?
The show introduced a wild card in Sam Picco, who was a contestant on Bachelor in Paradise: Canada Season 2.
Like the other ladies, she would give out a rose, but would have to get to know the guys fast!
After introducing herself, Sam boozed it up and stumbled into a cabana with Sean, who made a play for her rose.
But Sam thought he was too young, saying, “I feel like I’m your mom.”
Later in the episode, Davia Bunch from Zach Shallcross’ Bachelor season arrived on the beach. More about that later.
What happened during the rose ceremony?
Kylee Russell gave her rose to Aven Jones, Rachel bestowed hers on Brayden, Eliza Isichei awarded Aaron Bryant, Kat Izzo handed one to Tanner Courtad, Jess Girod gave hers to Blake Moynes, Olivia Lewis offered John Henry Spurlock her rose, and Mercedes Northrup presented her rose to Tyler Norris.
Sam decided to give Peter Cappio her rose, dashing Sean’s hopes.

Will told the cameras, “I feel defeated,” after failed romances with Olivia and Mercedes.
While leaving, Sean noted, “Paradise ate me up,” and added that he was left with “bug bites, a cut on my foot and hemorrhoids.”
What happened on Rachel and Brayden's date?
For their date, Rachel and Brayden became human pinatas, putting paint and decorations on each other at an artist’s studio in Mexico.
Rachel was glad to “let loose” with Brayden and he told her she’d “pulled him out of a ditch” to enjoy Paradise after his nasty breakup with Kat.
They kissed on the beach and Rachel told cameras she was “happy and hopeful” about their romance.
Who else arrived on the Bachelor in Paradise beach tonight?
At the beginning of the episode, Kat had given Tanner her rose and thought the two would celebrate her 27th birthday together in Paradise.
That all changed when beautiful Davia Bunch from Zach Shallcross’ Bachelor season arrived on the beach—with a date card.
ABC
Davia chatted with Tanner and then invited him on a date, which he accepted without even discussing it with Kat.
“I can’t believe this is happening on my birthday," Kat said. "This is my worst nightmare.”
Tanner explained to Kat, “I owe it to myself to explore.”
Kat cried in confessional, “You just f---ed up! I want my person to choose me above all else! That’s not a man!”
The others tried to console Kat by giving her a birthday cake but she wound up throwing it in the ocean.
As Davia and Tanner kissed on their date, Kat beat the daylights out of a pinata to get her anger out.
What happened during a game of truth or dare?
After bartender Wells Adams fixed his truth box, which Aaron S. had broken last week, the campers played a game of “truth or dare.”
Brayden was challenged into giving a lap dance to the most exciting girl there, and he decided to grind on Jess.
Peter was dared to kiss the most attractive girl. He smooched Kylee, who wasn’t into it!
“There’s so many love triangles,” Brayden noted. “It’s getting messy.”
Mercedes made out with John Henry, and Kat drank a shot off his body. Olivia got mad other ladies were after her guy. Later, though, Olivia and underwater welder John Henry kissed in the pool.
Jess was asked for a truth: “Is Blake your No. 1 right now?”
After hesitating, Jess said yes, but Blake told cameras he was confused. He confronted her in a private chat.
“I feel the unsureness in you,” he said.
Jess bit her lip, cried, and replied to Blake, “I don’t know what to say.”
Blake offered to give her space.
Jess didn’t know what she wanted and walked away, crying, “This is too much!”
Did Kat and Davia fight over Tanner?
Kat played with her hair nervously as Davia approached her for a private conversation.
Davia said her date with Tanner went really well.
Kat felt it was too late in the game for Tanner to be exploring, especially on her birthday.
As the episode ended, Tanner took Kat aside to talk as the others feared she’d explode!
