Twitter was today years old when it found out that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth broke up after just MONTHS of marriage, and no, no one is okay. In the event that you’re reading this without any prior knowledge of the situation, hello, welcome, and I’m sorry to report that your faves are no longer together.

Miley’s rep confirmed the news in a statement to People after she was seen without a wedding ring on Instagram.

“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”
