I Paid $17 For The Coconut Cloud Smoothie That's All Over TikTok So You Don't Have To
3 min read
If you've been on lifestyle TikTok in the last month, chances are you've seen this blue smoothie on your For You page:
@marianna_hewitt I have my very own smoothie at erewhon !!! Order Marianna’s Coconut Cloud smoothie at all locations for the month of march ??????

It's called the Marianna's Coconut Cloud Smoothie, and it's a collab between Erewhon — yes, the bougie grocery store in LA that all the celebs go to — and lifestyle influencer Marianna Hewitt. Oh, and it costs $17.

Since Marianna first announced her special smoothie in early March, people in Los Angeles have been RUSHING to Erewhon to try it, and those who don't live in LA have even tried making their own re-creations at home!

People are really going bonkers for it:
Yes, that's billion. With a B.
Since I'm lucky enough to live in the land of overpriced beverages, I headed to my local Erewhon and went straight for the Tonic Bar (aka their smoothie bar). Sure enough, Marianna's Coconut Cloud Smoothie was on full display.
According to the menu, here's what's in the smoothie:
-MALK almond milk
-ZUMA Valley coconut cream
-Avocado
-Almond butter
-Banana
-Blue Majik spirulina
-Pineapple
-Vanilla collagen
-Vanilla stevia
And it did indeed cost $17:

After waiting for what felt like forever, I finally got the smoothie in my hands (!!!), and just like in the TikToks, it was absolutely gorgeous.
That BLUE though! The blue color comes from the Blue Majik spirulina, which is an edible blue-green algae.
After snapping some pics of my artful smoothie, it was time for the moment of truth.

First impression: I couldn't BELIEVE the texture. It legit tasted just like a cloud! Marianna wasn't lying!!! Kind of like a whipped smoothie, which I'd never experienced before. It got pretty addicting and I couldn't stop drinking it.

In terms of flavor, it was very tropical, which makes sense considering the ingredients. At first, all I could taste was the coconut, but as I kept going, the pineapple really started to come through. There were some bits of almond butter and coconut cream that didn't quite blend, but I didn't mind that!

The smoothie itself was also SUPER filling. Smoothies don't normally fill me up on their own, but when I got to the bottom, I felt completely satisfied. I also loved how the very bottom layer is just straight-up coconut cream. Very ~decadent~.

Overall, this smoothie was good, but would I get it again? I'm not sure!! Although the texture was on point and I liked the flavor, it didn't quite wow me enough to pay $17 for it again (is anything worth $17, tbh???). But if you're in the LA area and find yourself curious, it's definitely worth a try!

Also, FWIW, here's what you'd need to purchase in order to make the smoothie at home:

And here's how much it would roughly cost:
Although you'd probably get more than one smoothie out of it, so it might shake out to be cheaper than the $17!
