Trader Joe's had promised that the totes would return by late summer, and it appears that promise will be fulfilled. A Trader Joe's representative confirmed that the bags will be back in stock on Sept. 18 as a limited product.

Available in blue, red, green, and yellow, these mini totes are a slightly smaller version of Trader Joe’s classic canvas bag. Given their past popularity, it’s unclear how plentiful the supply will be this time, so acting quickly might be necessary to secure one.

The mini totes turned into a viral sensation on TikTok, with videos showing frenzies and long lines at Trader Joe’s locations. The demand was so high that employees had to limit purchases to ensure more customers could get a bag.

Trader Joe's stance on reselling the totes

Some customers took advantage of the high demand by reselling the mini totes online for up to $500. In response, Trader Joe's issued a statement condemning the practice.

"We neither condone nor support the reselling of our products at exorbitant prices," the statement read. "This is done without our approval or authorization and outside the controls of our quality-minded supply chain. We do all we can to stop the practice."
