Tops kicks off game day with Bills-themed pizza, desserts
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The team at the Tops on Sheridan Drive fuels up Bills fans for every single game, and Sunday’s AFC championship game between the Bills and the Chiefs is no different.
“The community is behind the Buffalo Bills,” prepared foods manager Linda Sullivan said. “It’s everywhere you go, so we try to get our customers involved and show them that we support the Buffalo Bills.”
Sullivan creates unique Bills-themed pizzas for customers every week.
“We try to be creative, anything that deals with football,” she said. “We try to create the goal post, try to make the football with the shoelaces, we try to do Josh [Allen]’s number. Everybody’s a Josh fan.”
Bakery Manager Alicia Bianco is hoping her desserts give Bills fans who are hosting watch parties something sweet to celebrate.
“I like giving the fans what they want. Like one time our display made it on Twitter and everybody was like, ‘Tops on Sheridan has Bills cakes,” Bianco said. “Makes me happy I’m giving them something to celebrate game day with.”
Employees said a lot of work goes into game day weekends, but they’re excited to keep the momentum going while feeding Bills mafia.
“This could be their year,” Bianco said. “I’m excited and if they do win tonight, then we’ll have a massive display.”
