Tom Bergeron Just Announced He Was Axed from 'Dancing with the Stars'
Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews have been axed from Dancing with the Stars as the show goes in a new "creative direction."
Tom said he was "informed" that the show would continue without him.
Tom Bergeron just announced that he's leaving Dancing with the Stars after 15 seasons. And by that I mean he was fully axed by ABC. The long-running host revealed this life update on Twitter, saying he legit had just been "informed" that the show would be continuing without him.
"Just informed @DancingABC will be continuing without me," he wrote. "It's been an incredible 15 year run and the most unexpected gift of my career. I'm grateful for that and for the lifelong friendships made. That said, now what am I supposed to do with all of these glitter masks?"

Meanwhile, ABC put out a statement to Deadline confirming that co-host Erin Andrews also won't be returning to the show, and that they're taking Dancing with the Stars in a new "creative direction":
“Tom Bergeron will forever be part of the Dancing with the Stars family. As we embark on a new creative direction, he departs the show with our sincerest thanks and gratitude for his trademark wit and charm that helped make this show a success. Erin will also not be returning, and we appreciate all that she brought to the ballroom. Fans have been rooting for her since she originally competed as a contestant back in 2010, and her signature sense of humor has become a hallmark of the show."
No news on who the new hosts will be, but next season is being planned—and The Bachelorette's very own Kaitlyn Bristowe will be competing.
