Thomas Markle Accuses Duchess Meghan of “Whining” in ‘Finding Freedom’ Biography
Thomas Markle has accused Meghan Markle of “whining” with the release of biography Finding Freedom.
Note: Meghan didn’t participate in the biography, which was written by royal reporters Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s new biography Finding Freedom is about to hit shelves, which, to be clear, was not written by them! Due to it being, you know, a biography, not an autobiography. But apparently, Meghan’s dad, Thomas Markle, is displeased and told The Sun that she and Harry shouldn’t be “whining” in the middle of a pandemic.
“This is the worst time in the world for them to be whining and complaining about anything,” he said. “Because people everywhere are suffering due to the coronavirus pandemic.”
Again, Meghan and Harry didn’t author this book, and the couple even released a statement through their rep saying, “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not interviewed and did not contribute to Finding Freedom. This book is based on the authors’ own experiences as members of the royal press corps and their own independent reporting.”
Unfortunately, the book seems to have only soured relations between Thomas and Meghan, and he was even quoted as saying, “I love my daughter but I really don’t appreciate what she’s become right now.”
Hmm, literal facts tell us that Meghan’s “become” an influential public figure who basically minds her own business except for when she’s helping out other people in the middle of an ongoing pandemic and using her platform to fight for racial justice. So from where I’m sitting, Thomas Markle has a lot to be proud of—hopefully he realizes that sooner rather than later.
