Think You Can't Afford An Interior Designer? Wayfair Now Offers 'Em for $79
Budget-friendly furniture retailer Wayfair doesn't think you should have to shell out the big bucks for some design advice, and our self-titled "eclectic" (read: messy) bedroom may finally see some feng-shui.
The company announced today that its e-design platform, Design Services, will be available on Wayfair's site in two different pricing packages. There's "lite" for $79, which is perfect for "someone who knows how to arrange a space, but wants help selecting product to complete the look." The "classic" package goes for $149, which is still less than most decor consultant apps we've come across.
Both include choosing a professional interior designer, a concept with up to two revisions, a customized shopping list, expert style tips and phone time with the designer to hash out the specifics. The classic also includes extra phone time with the designer and a custom floor plan and 2-D room design rendering.
To get started, you'll select a package, then complete a quick survey about style preferences and goals, then choose from a list of designers that have partnered with Wayfair.
So, we guess what we're trying to say is: Wayfair is basically the Oprah of interiors, as in "YOU get a floor plan and YOU get a floor plan and YOU get a floor plan!"
