MANITOWOC – The Fourth of July is upon us, which means plenty of fun things to do in Manitowoc.

Spend your Fourth on the Shore
Spend your Independence Day in Manitowoc at Fourth on the Shore!
The annual Fourth of July parade kicks off the day at 10 a.m. and continues with live music, food trucks and much more in downtown and along the lakefront.
Fourth on the Shore concludes with the Festival Foods Fireworks Show at dusk.

Rock the boat at SubFest
Join Wisconsin Maritime Museum, 75 Maritime Drive, in celebrating World War II submarine history.
SubFest is July 4-7, and overlaps with Fourth on the Shore festivities. Live music, food trucks, self-guided submarine tours, kid-friendly activities, and a tolling of the boats ceremony will all be included.
Museum admission is $5 all day July 4. Veterans, retired military and active-duty military are free all weekend long.

Catch a big one at the Salmon Derby
Watch a big one be reeled in at the Northeastern Wisconsin Great Lakes Sport Fishermen Salmon Derby.
The fishing tournament is July 5-7 at the Manitowoc Marina, and one person will be going home with a $1,000 cash prize!
Both experienced anglers and kids are welcome to participate.

Rock out at the July 3 celebration
Kick it to live music by Smoke Road and The Glam Band in a rockin’ crowd along Manitowoc’s riverfront.
This is a free event, and proceeds from refreshment sales go to Gumby’s Club Fore a Cure to help local families battling cancer.
Gates open at 4:30 p.m. in the Farmers' Market lot, 720 Quay St.

See Wisconsin’s Best Pastel Art
If loud concerts and big crowds aren’t your jam, take it easy at Rahr-West Art Museum’s newest exhibit.
More than 40 members of the Wisconsin Pastel Artists Association have beautiful works of pastel art on display through Aug. 4.
The admission-free museum at 610 N. Eighth St. is open Tuesdays to Sundays and closed July 4. See more details at www.rahrwestartmuseum.org.
