We’re well into the season of thanks as menus are being finalized and the turkeys are getting their time slots to move from the freezer to thaw in the refrigerator.
As you prepare for Thanksgiving, take a moment to think about what you’re thankful for this year. Are you thankful for a person or group of people in your life? Are you grateful for a group or organization that makes a difference in your community? Are you relieved a tough situation turned out better than you expected? Did you experience a moment of kindness with a stranger? Do you appreciate a family recipe or tradition passed down and the memories attached?
Every year, I ask readers throughout the state what they’re thankful for. So again, I ask you to share your stories of appreciation, gratefulness and thanks with me.
I will collect these stories and write a statewide article for Thanksgiving, sharing what people all over Wisconsin are thankful for. Not sure how to start? Give me the highlights, and I’ll help tell your story.
Please send me a note about what you’re thankful for, along with the city you live in. If you have any photos you’d like to share that go along with the story, I’d be happy to use those, as well. Share your stories of appreciation and thanks at [email protected] by the end of the day Monday for a chance to be included in this year’s Thanksgiving feature.
And, as always, I'm thankful for you, readers. I appreciate hearing all of your stories each year, and I thank you for sending them!
