I'm just gonna cut to the chase, folks: I am, without a doubt, an absolute sucker for movie costars who have electric chemistry. I understand that some of these actors are in loving and committed relationships, but these costars have such a unique dynamic everyone goes bananas for — and wouldn't it be lovely if they actually dated offscreen?

So let's have fun for a second, dear reader: Which popular movie costars didn't date in real life, but you believe 100% should have?

Maybe you thought Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper were positively amazing together in A Star Is Born (2018), and were completely devastated when they never became a couple in real life. I mean, did you see their chemistry when they sang songs together (and beyond)?! Like, come ON.

Or perhaps you really loved Angelina Jolie and Michelle Pfeiffer in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and thought to yourself, Now, hey, they would make a swell couple! Angelina had a crush on Michelle growing up, so it'd make all the sense in the world!!!

Or maybe you thought Gabrielle Union and LL Cool J were totally believable as a couple in Deliver Us From Eva, and were surprised to learn they never went on a date, became a couple, got engaged, or were ever married. They were so cute together onscreen, so according to my pop culture calculations, they would've made a perfect pair offscreen!
