Teenager calls out Chick-fil-A after allegedly being fired for her TikTok videos: 'I can't believe this'
A teenager is going viral for the controversial reason she allegedly lost her job at Chick-fil-A.
The former employee, named Ana, posted a TikTok video outlining a “secret” menu hack at the fast-food chain. Within a few days, she was handing in her uniform.
The 19-year-old’s clip is part of an ongoing trend, in which users working at popular restaurants share insider info with customers. While the trend is extremely popular, it often goes against company policy.

Ana shared her video on July 22. In it, she explained how to save money on the restaurant’s Mango Passion Tea Lemonade, simply by ordering an Arnold Palmer with added mango flavoring.
That information, according to Ana, was enough to get her fired. She posted another TikTok less than a week later outlining the entire incident.
Ana’s video now has nearly 2 million views, and has earned her plenty of questions about how — and why — she lost her job.
The teenager told In The Know that, within hours of sharing her menu hack clip, she was flooded with “multiple messages” from Chick-fil-A employees and operators.
She put the video on private, but it still found its way back to her store. Within a few days, her boss asked her to come in for a chat.
“Once I went into work for what I was aware would be my last time, my operator sat me down and explained to me that I didn’t have the [company’s best interest] at hand,” she told In The Know. “Basically, [they were] saying that giving customers drink hacks wasn’t looking out for the company.”
For example, the 19-year-old said she heard stories from employees claiming they’d been forced to work out in the heat for “hours,” even though they had asthma or other medical conditions.
Ana said she “didn’t have any regrets” about posting either video, despite the consequences. Instead, it connected her with others who had similar stories.
“Once I posted the video, the amount of comments explaining the poor management and subtly abusive working conditions made me realize how poorly management treated me,” she told in The Know. “My social media was blown up with [messages] and comments regarding how people’s lives improved once they quit or were fired.”
Not everyone agreed with Ana’s stance, though. Some commenters replied to her TikTok arguing that she should’ve known she could get fired for sharing info about the company’s menu.
“What did you expect would happen?” one user asked.
Still, others were completely shocked by the alleged incident.
“Why would they fire you and not just give you a warning?” one user asked. “Now you can expose all their secrets.”
“I can’t believe this happened to you,” another wrote.
Ana, meanwhile, has accepted the whole ordeal. She said she’s currently focusing on school and has a new part-time job as a tutor.
