'Ted Lasso' Star Has a Holiday Special Coming to Apple TV+

Ted Lasso fans may still be waiting for news of a spinoff, but at least now they'll be able to do so while enjoying a holiday special from fan favorite Hannah Waddingham. The Emmy-winning actress, who played AFC Richmond owner Rebecca on the critically-acclaimed series, is set to headline a musical event from Apple TV+.
"The special is recorded live in front of an audience, and audiences around the world will be able to join Waddingham in celebrating her favorite time of year on Apple TV+ as she performs festive classics accompanied by a spectacular big band," the streamer said in a statement.

Hannah Waddingham: Home for Christmas will start streaming Wednesday, Nov. 22, which just so happens to be the day before Thanksgiving. Cozy!

According to Apple TV+, Waddingham will "ring in the holidays as she welcomes special guests for a musical extravaganza at the London Coliseum." But exactly who those guests are remains to be seen.

Apple TV+ has not released a set list, but the streamer promises "festive classics accompanied by a spectacular big band."
Waddingham has twice performed “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” for the small screen—once in Season 2 of Ted Lasso and once opposite Michael Bublé as part of his 2021 NBC holiday special—so it seems likely that the standard will make the cut here.
