Taylor Swift Responds to Fan's Heartfelt Video Thanking Her for Strengthening Bond With Daughter

A single mom named Giny caught Taylor Swift's with a heartfelt video—and it isn't hard to see why.

Last week, TikTok user @saywhaaatt1 posted an open message for the "Long Live" singer, thanking the pop star for strengthening the bond with her daughter. Her emotional thank-you is touching the hearts of Swifties across the internet.

Giny prefaced her sentiments, declaring, "This message is for Taylor Swift, and if you're not Taylor Swift, yes, I'm crying like a baby. So if you're not Taylor Swift or you want to be mean, please just scroll."

"Hey Taylor, I'm Giny. I've been a fan forever. We're the same age," she explained, noting she grew up with the pop star's songs—and now, her 9-year-old daughter is a huge fan. "She looks up to you for everything, and your song, 'Mean,' is getting her through the bullies at school. And she has taken over the reins has number one Swiftie."

That's when Giny got to the heart of her message: a simple exchange between her and her daughter that made her realize how much of an impact Swift has made in their lives.

"Earlier this year, we were talking about how good this year has been. She was like, 'Mom, I've had had more fun with you this year than ever before,'" Giny explained. "And I know why. It's because we have had so much fun surrounding you."

In 2023, Giny and her daughter each attended an Eras Tour concert, watched the movie in theaters five times (complete with the coveted popcorn buckets), scored merchandize and even rented the film for a pizza-fueled movie night at home.

"I just wanted you to know that you have changed my mom heart and have brought my daughter and I closer together," she continued. "...It just absolutely as a single mom who works so hard and tries so hard to have this with her, it just means the world."

Giny concluded: "I just wanted you to know how loved you are and how much you're doing behind the scenes for people."

The top comment was from Swift, herself—who was clearly struck by the single mom's sentiments.

"You just reminded me of why this year has been so special," Swift replied. "I'm so moved by what you said. It reminds me of me and my mom and the memories we made at that age."

Meanwhile, fellow Swift fans chimed in with their reactions, with one TikTok user writing, "Am I Taylor Swift? NO.... Did I stick around to watch this? Yes.... Did I cry while watching this?.... Also yes ???."

Fellow Swiftie, Food Network star Valerie Bertinelli, declared, "This is the absolute sweetest! I'm so happy for you and your daughter. Yes, Taylor Swift truly brings people together she's magical!"

"This right here is the magic of Taylor Swift," another person commented, to which Giny replied, "It really is! I feel so lucky we live in the TS era of history!"
