New Taylor Swift Report Has Swifties Excited
TS10, is that you?
According to a report from The Sun, Taylor Swift is allegedly confirmed to be working on new music for the first time in two years.
A music insider reportedly told the publication that Swift has been in writing sessions with friends and recording in Nashville as of late, comparing the songs worked on so far to the sound of Stevie Nicks and Joan Armatrading.
“Taylor is enjoying the process of tinkering with new sounds and is set to showcase a range of genres on her next album, which will surprise her fans,” the insider said, calling the upcoming album Swift’s “most experimental.” Swift reportedly plans to collaborate with up-and-coming female artists and producers, too, so the manifestation for a Maisie Peters feature starts now.
However, the source also reported that, “Her fans are used to hearing about her break-ups but her outlook on romance has changed since being with Joe and this will come through in the music.” Taylor has been with Joe Alwyn for several years now, allegedly taking inspiration from their relationship throughout both Reputation and Lover, and collaborating with him on Folklore and Evermore, so this information is far from groundbreaking.
While Swifties are hopeful, we’ve seen this film before.
“I can't do this again ??,” one social media user responded to the news, referencing the frequent “clowning” of the fandom in which they fall for rumors or incorrectly interpret something as a clue or an easter egg and are left looking foolish.
But, the law of averages states we’ll be right eventually, and like another Swiftie wrote, “I don’t apologize for the person I will be when Taylor Swift releases new music.”
As they say, the rumors are terrible and cruel, but, honey, most of them are true.
