Taylor Swift Reaches Huge Milestone After Eras Tour Success
Taylor Swift
It may be 1989 (Taylor's Version) release day, but it's not the only achievement Taylor Swift reportedly has to celebrate right now.
The musical powerhouse was anticipated to break billionaire status with the record-breaking success of her Eras Tour and, according to Bloomberg, whose recent financial analysis confirms that she's surpassed the major milestone, she's one of a select few who have managed to do so almost exclusively thanks to her music.
With era-appropriate graphics using friendship bracelets and beads to illustrate the breakdown, the publication estimates her current net worth to have reached $1.1 billion.
The largest chunk of that, which amounts to $400 million, comes from the estimated value of the music she’s released since 2019—meaning all of her albums, including the rereleases so far, since her seventh studio album Lover. In other words, all of her music except for her original six albums, which she does not own the rights to.
$370 million is estimated to come from ticket sales and merchandise.
Her streaming earnings and the value of her five properties combined are nearly equal at $120 million and $110 million, respectively, while the final $80 million comes from music royalties.
Her massive, worldwide tour has also fueled local economies wherever it has stopped, with the Federal Reserve even applauding her for her influence. As she's gearing up to kick off the international leg—and still has at least two more rerecorded albums to go—those estimates are certain to grow—even despite her generous contributions to charities all along the way.
