Taylor Swift Debuts Curly Bob Haircut and Nods to ‘1989’ in Blue Floral Oscar de la Renta Dress for ‘The Eras Tour’ Movie Premiere at The Grove
Taylor Swift is in her Hollywood star era. The singer attended the highly anticipated premiere of “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” film, a visual rendering of her latest record-breaking stadium tour, at The Grove in Los Angeles on Wednesday night. Swift walked on the red carpet in a light blue Oscar de la Renta dress and matching Giuseppe Zanotti heels.
The strapless gown featured floral embroidery with cutouts. She accessorized with rings from Anabela Chan and Akillis. Swift also debuted a curly bob haircut during the event. The entire look reminded her fans of one of Swift’s dresses in her “Karma” music video, released in 2022. When the video came out, fans noticed a few signs nodding to her “1989” album, which is the next in line to be re-released by the singer.

Beyoncé, Marren Moris, Molly Sims, Simu Liu, Karamo Brown, Adam Sandler and Mariska Hargitay attended the premiere event.
After the screening, Swift shared a tribute to Beyoncé on Instagram. “I’m so glad I’ll never know what my life would’ve been like without @beyonce‘s influence. The way she’s taught me and every artist out here to break rules and defy industry norms. Her generosity of spirit. Her resilience and versatility. She’s been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale,” she wrote.
“The Eras Tour” concert film is being released by AMC Theatres. As of last Thursday, the production had surpassed $100 million in advance ticket sales worldwide, entering theaters as the highest-grossing concert film in history — “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never,” which garnered $99 million in advance ticket sales worldwide in 2011, is now the second in the list.
Thanks to the presale tickets, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” is already one of 2023’s highest-grossing movies. The film is reportedly estimated to generate up to $125 million from approximately 3,850 theaters in North America and add $30 million to $50 million from 4,150 venues internationally.
On Wednesday, AMC announced a raffle promotion on X (former Twitter), giving fans the chance to win a prize pack filled with “The Eras Tour” merchandise. “Share why you’re excited to see #TSTheErasTourFilm at #AMCTheatres for a chance to win this exclusive prize pack! 3 winners will be selected. You must include #TSTheErasTourFilm in your reply to be entered to win,” AMC wrote on Twitter.
Swift also included lyrics of “1989” in an announcement made minutes before she hit the red carpet. “The Eras Tour” concert film, which was scheduled to premiere on Friday, is now entering theaters on Thursday. “Look what you genuinely made me do: Due to unprecedented demand we’re opening up early access showings of The Eras Tour Concert Film on Thursday in America and Canada!! As in… TOMORROW,” Swift wrote on Instagram.
Swift received a SAG-AFTRA interim agreement to promote “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.” The agreement is given to non-AMPTP (Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers) productions that meet the same standards the unions are seeking in their negotiations with the studios.
“The Eras Tour” began on March 17 in Glendale, Arizona and it has since traveled through the U.S. and Mexico. In August, Swift added 15 new dates in the U.S., bringing her total shows to 146 across five continents. The tour, which features a set list of 44 songs divided into 10 eras of her career, is currently on pause and set to resume on Nov. 9 in Buenos Aires. According to Billboard, the tour is set to make more than $1 billion in ticket sales, surpassing Elton John‘s record of $853 million with “Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour.”
While on vacation from her tour, Swift has been enjoying her free time with family and friends. The singer made headlines on Sept. 24 after accepting Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s public invitation to watch him play against the Chicago Bears. On Oct. 1, she cheered on Kelce once again, this time accompanied by her friends Sophie Turner and Blake Lively. The singer has also been named one of the most popular Halloween costume inspirations for this year.
After its first weekend, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” film will be only shown from Thursday through Sunday for the following three weekends in selected movie theaters worldwide.
