Taco Bell Testing an All-New ‘Sweet and Savory’ Chalupa for a Limited Time This Fall
Taco Bell is serving up all treats and no tricks this Halloween, at least for those near one of the locations testing a new "sweet and savory" version of its fan-favorite Chalupa.
In just a few weeks, Taco Bell said it plans to release a limited-edition Chalupa that was inspired by the popularity of two of its relatively new menu items–the Cantina Chicken menu and its Cheesy Street Chalupas–but with "a bold twist."

Coming to select locations later this month is the all-new Chicken Al Pastor Street Chalupas, said to bring "the sweet and savory pineapple and chiles al pastor marinade to the Cantina Slow-Roasted Chicken," according to an official description shared with Parade. It's served in two "street-sized" Quesalupa shells and topped with fresh onions and cilantro.

The Chicken Al Pastor Street Chalupas will only be available at participating locations in Minneapolis beginning on Thursday, Oct. 31, for around $4.99 for a limited time or while supplies last. Taco Bell also teased "even more al pastor-inspired news" in the months to come, "including quesadillas, burritos, and bowls testing later in 2025."
Hopefully, if all goes well, people outside of the Twin Cities will be able to get their hands on the innovative menu item sometime in the not-too-distant future, just like the Mexican-inspired joint has done in the past. For those not in Minnesota, Taco Bell is bringing back a handful of throwbacks to satiate your sweet and savory desires, too, including the Caramel Apple Empanada as well as the Double Decker Taco and Double Decker Taco Supreme.
