Taco Bell Is Slowly Bringing Back Breakfast To Its Restaurant Locations After Limiting Hours Due To COVID
At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, fast food chains limited their menus to make processes more efficient and easier on employees. Now, as restaurants continue to find ways to serve their customers, Taco Bell has brought back their breakfast menu at locations nationwide.
Taco Bell had limited its breakfast hours, particularly because individuals were not on the roads commuting to work due to the pandemic, meaning breakfast sales declined, according to Nation's Restaurant News. Now, as parts of the country start to reopen safely, Taco Bell is bringing back breakfast and has done so already at about 50 percent of their United States locations.
The chain's breakfast menu includes fan favorite items like the Breakfast Crunchwrap, the Cheesy Toasted Breakfast Burrito Potato, and hash browns. While breakfast is back, Taco Bell did make some permanent changes to their menu over the summer like getting rid of spicy potato soft shell tacos, the seven layer burrito, and more. There are also plans to cut more items this upcoming November, but new meals like the chicken chipotle melt will replace them.
These changes are being made to help both customers and workers have a safe and efficient experience when ordering Taco Bell. The brand has also been working on new ways to continue serving their fans given the every changing state of the world, and plans for new "Go Mobile" restaurants that focus on a drive-thru only model with curbside pick-up available are in motion.
