Surprise! Panera’s Double Bread Bowl Is Hitting Menus Nationwide
Our envy meter was at an all-time in August when we learned that Panera Bread was testing a Double Bread Bowl in Philadelphia. Sure, we were happy, but where was our carb-filled dish? The Panera gods must have heard us, because the Double Bread Bowl will be available nationwide (!!!) for a limited time.
The Double Bread Bowl is only around for 2 weeks beginning on Valentine’s Day. From Feb. 14 to 28, the specialty item will be available at participating locations nationwide for $9.99. Take note that ordering one of these in the café means you can choose any fillings, and there are enough to make 91 combinations. However, ordering online or through the app limits you to just five fan-favorite combos:
Chicken Noodle and Broccoli Cheddar
Creamy Tomato and Broccoli Cheddar
Broccoli Cheddar and Broccoli Cheddar
Bistro French Onion and Broccoli Cheddar
Ten Vegetable and Creamy Tomato
The sourdough bread bowls are baked fresh daily and are the extra dose of carbs we need to stay warm this winter.
“Since the test launch, we’ve seen an overwhelming response on social media from fans asking, ‘When will Double Bread Bowls come to my city?’” Tom Sadler, vice president of food and beverage product development at Panera, said in a press release. “We’re excited to answer the demand and spread the bread to guests nationwide.”
