The ‘Stranger Things’ Kids Face Another Villain in New Season 4 Trailer
Are you ready for more of Netflix’s Stranger Things? Well, the streaming service just released another action-packed trailer for the highly anticipated fourth season. Not only does it feature the return of Eleven’s “Papa”, Dr. Martin Brenner, but it also offers a deeper glimpse of the penultimate season. (FYI: Stranger Things is expected to end after season five.)
The trailer features a montage of scenes, all of which tease the arrival of a supernatural force. “Something’s coming,” Mike (Finn Wolfhard) says in the clip. “It is almost here.”
Stranger Things season four will pick up right where we left off in the previous installment, which concludes with Jim Hopper (David Harbour) destroying the underground bunker and becoming a Russian hostage.
The new episodes will feature several familiar faces, including Harbour, Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Matthew Modine, Winona Ryder, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Charlie Heaton and Natalia Dyer. It will also star a few newcomers, like Robert Englund, Jamie Campbell Bower, Tom Wlaschiha, Nikola Djuricko, Joseph Quinn, Sherman Augustus and Mason Dye.
According to executive producer Shawn Levy, Stranger Things season four is “visually and narratively very ambitious, much more ambitious than the prior three seasons. It also happens to be the season that we chose to go much bigger. It’s the scale of this season and the multi-settings of season four,” he told Digital Spy.
Although Netflix hasn’t announced an official premiere date, Stranger Things season four will premiere sometime in 2022. Until then, we’ll be refreshing our memory by re-watching the first three seasons.
