"Stranger Things" Creators Reveal The Show Will Go Longer Than Season 4
Get ready, Stranger Things fans! It looks like we won't be saying goodbye to Hawkins in season four after all.
The series creators, the Duffer Brothers, revealed that the coronavirus pandemic gave them a little time to think about the show's future and that means plenty more seasons.
"Season four won’t be the end. We know what the end is, and we know when it is. [The pandemic] has given us time to look ahead, figure out what is best for the show. Starting to fill that out gave us a better idea of how long we need to tell that story," they told The Hollywood Reporter, according to Nerdist.
Even though fans might be excited to hear this news, filming for season 4 has yet to restart after stopping due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Duffer Brothers confirmed in the interview that production hasn't resumed, but Ross revealed that, "Everyone's excited to get back to work, but the priority is the safety of the cast and crew, and that will dictate when we go back."
Even though production has come to a halt, it actually worked in their favor and allowed them to start off the season differently.
"We've had a lot more time to work on the scripts. For the first time, we have all the scripts written and we're able to look at it as a whole piece and make adjustments," Matt Duffer said.
At least fans can totally remain calm knowing that the show isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
