New store in Brighton aims to make homes more beautiful
BRIGHTON — A store opening soon in Brighton aims to make homes more beautiful.
Inspired Décor and More will host a grand opening event from 10 am.-6 p.m. Saturday, July 13, at 6111 Grand River Ave. The shop sells home décor and clothing, according to owner Gina Jurries, plus a space for children's birthday parties and classes on Saturdays.
Jurries and her daughter, Kasey Kasprzak, purchased the building in 2016 and operated Beeyond Treasures until 2019, before selling the business. Beeyond Treasures is now located at Tanger Outlets in Howell.
After the lease for Beeyond Treasures ended, Jurries decided to open Inspired Décor and More. Kasprzak now owns Tanner’s Trove, which will be a vendor at Inspired.
“We just always had a passion for home décor,” Jurries said. “Over the past five years, we’ve really missed it.”
Five local vendors will sell items at the store, Jurries said, which also has an interior decorating service.
Jurries said she’s spent the last month getting the store set up.
“It’s been a long process,” she said.

Jurries encourages locals to follow "Inspired Décor & More" on Facebook, a page that's grown by hundreds of followers in the past week.
“We’ve received excellent feedback (from the community),” Jurries said.
The store will be open 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesdays-Thursdays, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Fridays, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays and 12-4 p.m. Sundays.
