You Can Stay in F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald's Former Home on Airbnb
F. Scott Fitzgerald fans can actually live like the acclaimed author did for a few nights. Fitzgerald's former home (which he shared with his wife Zelda) in the historic Cloverdale neighborhood of Montgomery, Alabama, is available to rent on Airbnb. Don't expect Gatsby-esque decor, though-"The Zelda Suite" is a quaint two-bedroom apartment that's situated in the house above what is now a museum dedicated to the literary couple.

According to the Airbnb description, F. Scott and Zelda lived in the home from 1931 to 1932. This house is where Zelda wrote portions of her novel, Save Me the Waltz. Her husband worked on Tender Is The Night there, too. So, aspiring writers and artists may find creative inspiration within the walls of the historic home.
This particular home is one of the last four of the Fitzgeralds' around the world that has survived. The rest are now private residences. The apartment, available for just $130 a night, can accommodate up to four guests. There's a master bedroom with a Queen-size bed, and another bedroom with two twin beds, which makes the Airbnb rental ideal for either a couple, a group of friends, or a family. The old home has a full kitchen and bath, as well as a separate living room, dining room, and sunroom.
The Airbnb listing notes that you can see the sprawling Magnolia tree in the front of the house from several rooms inside. Guests in The Zelda Suite also get a complimentary tour of the museum, of course. The F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald Museum is the only one in the world dedicated to the lives and legacies of the couple, according to its website.

It's important to note that the house is separated into different apartments now, so you may be sharing the home with other guests. Though the listing is quick to clarify that you won't be brushing your teeth with strangers: "This is not a shared space, but a completely different apartment."
Though the house was built in 1910, there's Wifi access (so you can post about your eclectic, cool Airbnb!), and washer and dryer are available for a fee.
There are currently 41 reviews on Airbnb for The Zelda Suite, which has four and a half stars. The most recent reviewer, from this month, says, "This is an amazing place to stay! Our family had such a great time immersed in the Fitzgerald history." The reviewer also noted the historic art pieces and small touches throughout the home. Pro tip: Check out the sunroom in the morning as the sun rises.
