Stark Bites: Muskellunge Brewing to expand, adding taproom, kitchen
Muskellunge Brewing Company, 425 5th St. NW in Canton, has begun construction to expand its operation, making room for a kitchen and new taproom. Plans are to continue to offer their soon-to-be-made in house flatbreads and to add six additional beers on tap.
Once construction is complete, Muskellunge's owner and master brewer Frank Estremera said the company will have 18 craft beers on tap ? 12 permanent, six rotating, including an experimental beer.

Royal Docks brewer joins Ohio Craft Brewers Association board
Dave Sutula, partner and brewer at Royal Docks Brewing Company was elected as an at-large member on the Ohio Craft Brewers Association Board of Directors. Sutula and Aspasia Lyras-Bernacki, co-owner of Penguin City Brewing Company, will begin their two-year terms on Aug. 1.
“Our board of directors represents the diversity of small businesses that make up Ohio’s craft brewing industry,” said Mary MacDonald, executive director of the Ohio Craft Brewers Association.
The at-large board role oversees the Ohio Craft Brewers Association’s education, marketing and advocacy efforts. Founded in 2007, the Ohio Craft Brewers Association is a nonprofit guild that exists to promote, preserve, diversify and unify Ohio’s craft brewing industry.

Slurpee Day is on its way!
The coolest day of the year is just a sip away! 7-Eleven will celebrate its 97th birthday on July 11, which also has come to be known as Slurpee Day.
On Slurpee Day, all customers who visit participating 7-Eleven and Speedway locations will receive a free small Slurpee drink to celebrate the annual holiday.
Melange owner close to opening day for Astoria Grill
Since purchasing the Girves Brown Derby property at 4670 Everhard Road NW in Jackson Township, Nick Pamboukis, owner of Melange in downtown Canton, has been busy.
Get ready to welcome Astoria Grill to town.
Remodeling, renovations and menu creation almost complete, Astoria Grill is set to open in mid-August. The restaurant's menu will include steak, seafood and pasta.
