Spiritual life: Youth activity planned at Catherine Creek
NORTHEAST OREGON — The La Grande Stake Youth Committee of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is hosting a youth activity and service project on Saturday, May 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The activity will be held at the Catherine Creek Lodge and campground, and all area youth are encouraged to participate. Contact your local leaders for more information.
On Sunday, May 12, the area Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints congregations will gather for the passing of the sacrament during worship services, and church members will speak on topics assigned by the local unit’s leadership. Adult and youth groups will meet during the second hour of services.
The “Come, Follow Me” lesson for the week of May 6 comes from Mosiah 7-10 in the Book of Mormon. These chapters recount the story of Ammon finding the lost people of King Limhi, who were suffering from bondage to the Lamanites.
Upcoming events include the annual Stake Father & Sons outing, which takes place May 17-18.
