A pair of college roommates is going viral on TikTok, thanks to the “crazy” similarities in their appearance. Everyone seems convinced that they’re twins — despite the fact that, apparently, they’d never met before move-in day.
The mystery comes courtesy of TikToker livicakez, who shared a clip of her brother’s college move-in day from September 2019. The video, which now has 2.7 million views, shows her brother meeting his roommate for the first time.

“[Throwback] to the time we show up to move my brother into his dorm on freshman move-in day and we find that his randomly selected roommate is his twin,” livicakez wrote.
In the clip, livicakez and her parents are laughing hysterically, and it’s easy to see why. Her brother looks exactly like his random roommate. They’re even wearing similar outfits, and basically the exact same hat.
TikTok users were blown away by the comparison of the two roomies, so much so that some claimed they had to be long lost brothers.
“How is this real they’re literally the same person,” one user wrote.
“I’m so lost are they actually twins?” another asked.
“Please we need clarification on if they were separated at birth,” another added.
As it turns out, the situation gets even wilder. Livicakez posted a follow-up video in which she clarified that, no, her brother was not secretly related to his random roomie.
However, she called the coincidence “scary,” and went on to share that the two men had even more in common.
“They play all the same games and have a ton of the same interests,” she explained. “It’s kind of scary.”
Despite the TikToker’s best efforts, her explanation seemed to only convince more people that the two roomies were, in fact, secret twins.
“Girl you didn’t answer BIGGEST QUESTION. Are they related or not?” one user asked.
“I’m really trying to wrap my mind around this,” another added.
