Somehow, the Insanely Sexy Celebrity Bracket Trend Is Still Alive and Thriving

If the mere thought of putting on a bra makes you shudder — especially after months at home, social distancing in comfy clothes — we definitely feel you. Despite the fact that our drawers are filled with classic, reliable options, we don't exactly miss fussing with those straps and annoying underwire. Celebrities, on the other hand? They seem to be all about it, continuing to style the wardrobe staple underneath jackets and cardigans, even as we head into cooler weather.

Seeing so many brackets (bras + jackets) day after day, we're almost (keyword, almost) convinced to give the trend a try ourselves. Whether the look consists of a matching set, color-coordinated options, or more of a crop top than an actual bralette, there are plenty of ways to pull it off with the clothes that are already in our closet. Considering we're still spending a lot of time indoors, now is the perfect time to experiment.

Unsurprisingly, Bella Hadid gave her bracket a '90s twist. A short-sleeved button-down took the place of a top layer, and she once again convinced us to invest in khakis.
Play With Around With Proportions

You don't need to show a ton of stomach when following this trend. For example, model Josephine Skriver let her midsection peek out just a tiny bit when wearing a cutout crop top with pink high-waisted pants. She then made an even bolder statement with the help of a longer, duster-like jacket.
Color Coordinate

Model Hana Cross' cardigan and bra aren't a perfect match, but they're still in the same color family, making the look just as cute.
Think Fancy

Lily Rose Depp gave the bracket a fancy twist with the help of a structured jacket, printed bra, and metallic heels while attending the Chanel Spring '21 show.
Prep For the Future
It makes sense that actresses and models are still into brackets. The combination continues to pop up on the runway, including Alberta Ferretti's Spring '21 show, so clearly the look has staying power and will be around for a bit longer.
