Snowboard Contest Crowns Champions $5,000, Dream Trip to Japan, and Epic Heli Adventure in BC
On this past weekend of September 28th - October 1st, the snow country of Denver, Colorado held the first annual Meka snowboard festival. This festival included lots of opportunities for education such as suicide prevention seminars and back country awareness classes and snowboarding opportunities, as well as multiple movie premiers, art installations, live music, a rail jam, free tattoos, and merch, drinks, and food for sale. And it was free for the public!
The rail jam was probably the most popping part of the event, which makes sense, because the prizes included $5000, a paid trip to Japan, and helicopter adventure in British, Columbia - so you know some of the top rail jam athletes came out to compete in this event. Check it out below.
