If you walk into my apartment, you’ll notice a few things about me right when you step in. I’m highly organized, and everything must be in its right place at all times; I simply cannot function in a messy household, so pristineness is key. Secondly, I always have the windows open, even in the winter, because, well, fresh air! And last but not least, I own many sneakers (now concealed in my new Ikea shoe storage bins!). I’m a sneakerhead through and through, but I don’t just repeat-wear any ol’ pair — I’m a die-hard Cariuma fan, and all of my family and friends are now, too.
Cariuma’s sneakers landed on my radar back in 2019, and I’m so glad they did because I was clearly not living life the right way until I was introduced to them. Before, I “liked” sneakers, but didn’t love them, per se. Cariuma made me love sneakers, but only because they’re everything a sneaker should be: comfy, easy to wear, and nice to your feet and Mother Earth.
So, given my fondness of Cariuma sneakers, it should come as no surprise that I just about freaked out upon learning that so many styles are secretly on sale right now — something that never happens. The sale is a “secret” because you need a special link to access the discounted shoe offerings; then, you’ll have to enter the code exclusiveaccess to gain entry into the archive sale — which includes styles Cariuma is fading out, and thus, heavily discounting to make room for new options. I’m sad because I spotted some of my go-tos, meaning now’s my last chance — and yours — to get them. But, I was happy because, well, the prices are so good, I can stock up on styles to take me through the next few years.

My mom and I both love the Ibi Slip-On sneaker, of which a few colors are actually included in the archive sale. Once you try them, you’ll see why they’re a mainstay in our shoe rotations, but if you need a bit more info before you buy the 40-percent-off style, here’s what you need to know: They’re made from a super lightweight bamboo knit upper that’s incredibly breathable and comfortable, as it forms to your foot shape. They’re also machine washable, so if they get dirty, just throw them in the washing machine and they’ll come out looking like new. The comfort is out-of-this-world thanks to a removable cork insole and sugarcane outsole that’s perfectly bouncy and supportive. They’re ideal for summer, but I’ve worn my year-round, as has my mom.
Other must-haves from the secret archive sale include the fan-favorite Oca Low sneaker in the limited-edition Pantone blue — currently $53, the Catiba Pro High if you’re looking for a kick that has a bit of an edge, or the Oca High for an easygoing, everyday style that leans more skater-cool. Regardless of which pair you buy, I can promise you you’ll love them because Cariuma makes good sneakers, period.
But at these prices, I can’t promise that styles will stay in stock for long. So, secure your pair before the #FOMO settles in and prices go back up.
