These Sneakers Are Extra in the Best Way

THE LOVE Marc Jacobs Empire Crystal Sneakers, $250
I have never been much of a sneaker girl. I like to believe that I am a fancy, sophisticated lady who wears heels to work everyday, but with my running around to shoots, meetings, and events, I find that impossible to keep up. Tired of having my toes pinched and making my ankles cry, I started looking into more comfortable footwear. Loafers were short lived; ballet flats destroyed my flat feet. Thus, I had to go the most sensible, yet classic, route: the white sneaker. But, what white sneaker could be comfortable but look as polished as pumps?
On a recent work trip to Paris I found myself in the Marc Jacobs store, and these white sneakers immediately called out my name. They looked like a glammed-up version of everyone’s favorite Adidas Stan Smiths (Marc's face even replaces Stan's). I loved that they were totally simple, but have a little bling with the rhinestone stripes. They’re extra in the best way-a.k.a. how I like to think of myself.
I wear these to work and at functions and constantly get compliments and questions about them. They're also really sturdy and can withstand the daily grind of commuting and the tons of walking I do around New York. My only regret is I didn’t buy more pairs!
