The Pontotoc County Historical Society has hosted Crossroads and produced six events to complement it. Attendance at the exhibit and at the special events and programs has been more than 1,100 people.
Representatives of the Pontotoc Historical Society said the exhibit's success has far exceeded expectations.
The Crossroads exhibit from Washington D.C. explores changes in rural America through the years and asks the visitor to contemplate the importance of rural life to our country.
The Pontotoc exhibit includes displays of eight aspects of local history including such topics as education, arts and humanities, downtown development, sports, and others.
