'Sister Wives' Meri Brown Addresses Garrison's Death in Touching Tribute for Late Mother
Meri Brown from TLC's 'Sister Wives'
On March 5, Sister Wives stars Janelle Brown and Kody Brown's son, Garrison, died unexpectedly at age 25. Meri Brown issued a near-identical message via social media confirming the tragic news. Days later, the TLC star penned a touching tribute on her late mother's birthday—and she addressed Garrison's untimely passing as well.
Meri took to Instagram on Saturday, March 9, to share a photo of herself with her mom, Bonnie Ahlstrom, who died in 2021.
"This week has been full of an array of emotions, but I couldn't let this March 9th pass without acknowledging and celebrating my sweet mom on her birthday," Meri wrote.
The Sister Wives star described her mother as "one who always gave comfort and support" and "made you feel like you were the only one in her world when you were with her."
In her tribute, Meri added, "She loved every one of her grandkids, no matter how they came into her family. They were all hers, and all of our kids lovingly called her 'Grandma'."

Meri concluded: "I have a little more comfort this week knowing that she was likely on Garrison's welcoming committee, smiling that perfect smile at him and holding his sweet face in her loving hands. Keep an eye on our boy up there, Mom! And give him a hug for me! ??????"
On the day of Garrison died of an apparent suicide, Janelle, Kody and Meri all shared nearly identical messages.

"Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown. He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him," Janelle's Instagram update read. "His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away. We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory."
Janelle returned to her Instagram grid on March 8 to share the last photo she has with all six of her children.

She wrote, "I had all my children together last Christmas. It was amazing as it’s hard with everyone’s busy lives to coordinate time like this. I am extremely grateful now that we had pictures taken."
