'Sister Wives' Exclusive: Kody Brown Makes Dig at Exes While Reflecting on Robyn Romance
Kody Brown isn't mincing words while looking back on the differences in his relationship with Robyn Brown and that he had with his now ex-wives, Meri Brown, Christine Brown and Janelle Brown.
While reflecting on his past relationships, the Sister Wives star hinted that his relationship with his fourth–and now only–wife, Robyn, was incomparable to the relationships he built with his now exes from the beginning.
The revelation was made in an upcoming episode of the TLC series, which Parade got an exclusive preview of, and in it, Kody reviewed past footage from the show which documented the family's reaction to the possibility of Robyn joining the Browns.
After he recalled courting Robyn as "a special time in his life," he explained why it was so notable.
"I finally fell in love," he said.
The subtle dig comes after years of turmoil between the wives–who have suspected Robyn's relationship with Kody was different from theirs–about 12 months after the last of his three wives decided to leave their plural marriage.
Christine was the first to publicly walk away from Kody, who announced their divorce via Instagram in Nov. 2021. Christine later told People that the reason she ultimately decided to leave her husband of nearly 25 years was because he refused to travel for daughter Ysabel's scoliosis surgery. Since leaving him, Christine has said she is much happier–she even remarried, saying "I do" to her fiancé David Wooley in Moab, Utah, this past fall.
Then, in the winter of 2022, TLC teased that Meri and Janelle had both separated from their then-husband. Meri and Kody split years after their romantic relationship ended, as they referred to themselves as being in a platonic relationship for some time.
Kody and Janelle, however, separated for the first and final time in the months leading up to the 2023 New Year. It wasn't until Season 18 of the series that fans were given a look inside the unraveling of their relationship, as Janelle reflected on the "wound Kody inflicted" on her fellow Sister Wives co-stars and their kids.
