Shiplap Gets Bloody in Confusing New Home Makeover Show, ‘Murder House Flip’
Ever wish your favorite true crime podcast would team up with the Property Brothers for some daytime DIY with a side of gruesome violence? Us neither, but that's exactly what you can expect from Murder House Flip, an unconventional new show coming to Quibi, a mobile-only short-form streaming platform set to launch next spring.
As the pithy name presents, Murder House Flip is a far cry from our beloved Fixer Upper. According to a press release from Quibi, it will focus on “the country’s most infamous homes—the ones known for the mysterious murders and incredible intrigue committed within their walls"…spooky. In a recent interview with Deadline, creator and producer Josh Berman (CSI, Vanished) confirmed that forensic specialists, spiritual healers and a crew of other true crime experts will work to bring “healing and solace to families living in the aftermath of tragic events by transforming dark places into healthy spaces." Like Ghost Hunters meets Joanna Gaines, but without all the shiplap.
Murder House Flip doesn't have an official air date yet, but with Quibi set to launch on April 6, 2020, one can only hope for a simultaneous debut. For now, we'll have to get by on American Horror Story: 1984 and Flip or Flop reruns.
