Shanklin Pool opens for summer Saturday
May 24—Shanklin Pool, 411 W. Plymouth Ave. opens to the public Saturday.
Passes can be bought either daily or seasonal. Prices for different age groups are listed below.
Daily Administration:
2 years and under are free with a paid adult
Youth (3-17 yrs old) : $4 for resident and $5 for non-resident
Adult (18-59 yrs old) : $5 for resident and $6 for non-resident
Senior (60+) : $4 for resident and $5 for non-resident
Season Pass:
Youth (3-17 yrs old) : $42 for resident and $60 for non-resident
Adult (18-59 yrs old) : $52 for resident and $70 for non-resident
Senior (60+) : $38 for resident and $48 for non-resident
Family pass : $105 for resident and $165 for non-resident
Hours for Monday through Friday:
Adult lap swim is from 11 a.m. to noon
Open Public Swim is from noon to 4 p.m., and 6-8 p.m.
Hours for Saturday and Sunday:
Open Public Swim: Noon to 7 p.m.
Swim Lessons Offered
Shanklin Pool Swim Lessons are offered in four different sessions this summer through the American Red Cross Program under certified staff. Fees include $55 per individual. Registration is required beforehand.
Sessions are offered as listed below:
Session 1: June 3 — 14
Session 2: June 17 — 28
Session 3: July 1 — 12
Session 4: July 15 — 26
Shanklin Pool will also be hosting a dive-in movie night June 8, and will be playing "The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep" at 8 p.m.
