Senior caregiver resource fair set for May 8
THREE RIVERS — A resource fair for senior citizen caregivers will help provide information to better the lives of those for whom they serve.
The event, hosted by the St. Joseph County Adult Services Network, is set for 9 a.m. to noon May 8, at Beacon Health and Fitness, 501 S. Health Parkway, in Three Rivers, planners of the resource fair said in a statement.
Information and support will be available on the topics of home repair, Meals on Wheels and food supports, medical equipment, social groups and activities, volunteer opportunities, insurance, assisted living facilities, disability needs and in-home care.
Door prizes will also be given away, and a raffle will be held for a lift chair grand prize and gift cards.
The resource fair is free to attend, and a complimentary continental breakfast will be served.
Those residents needing a free ride to the event may call the St. Joseph County Transportation Authority at (269) 273-7808 at least 48 hours in advance.
