Eggo, the brand best known for waffles, is putting the spotlight on another breakfast staple—the humble flapjack.

Eggo has created a literal house of pancakes nestled high in the mountains of Gatlinburg, Tenn.—and Parade got sneak peek inside.

From the moment you arrive at the Eggo mailbox and spot the short-stacked porches adorned with dripping syrup and the stick of butter-shaped chimney, you'll realize you're about to enter pancake lovers' paradise.

Stepping through the front door, you're greeted with an Eggo pancake-ified pool table, cozy fireplace (dripping with syrup and accented with giant blueberries), comfy short stack beanbags and the best part—sweet syrup-infused mountain air.

The sunny yellow and red theme comes from Eggo’s iconic box and designer Lauren Wagner's own childhood memories.

"Growing up, my family would make pancakes together every Saturday morning and enjoy them while watching our favorite cartoons," says Wagner, the head of design for the Eggo House of Pancakes. "Looking back, it was one of those simple (and now, nostalgic!) traditions where we slowed down, relaxed and had fun as a family."

Even waffle lovers will come 'round to Team Pancake in this cozy mountain cottage stacked with breakfast-centric details in every nook and cranny. There's pancake wallpaper, bacon and egg night lights, an "Eggo vac" robotic vacuum, maple syrup fountain and more.

Wagner says the syrup fountain is one design element she'd even put in her own home, "Who wouldn’t love that?!"

Her favorite detail in the house: The maple syrup dripping from the roof.

"I love that when you’re inside the house looking out through a window, you can still see it spilling over the Smoky Mountains," Wagner says. "The delicious drips really make you feel like you’re nestled within a stack of Eggo pancakes."

Sticking to the theme, the bright breakfast nook and open concept kitchen and living room features a Smeg fridge—fully stocked with Eggo pancakes.

"The Eggo House of Pancakes is designed to give families those same special memories and delicious breakfast experiences I was lucky enough to have as a kid," Wagner says.

After a long day of sightseeing or during a break between games of corn hole, families can toast up Eggo Mini Pancake s'mores at the fire pit overlooking the Smokies.

At the end of the day, curl up in one of four cozy bedrooms that sleep up to 8. From top to bottom, this house really stacks up.
