See The Flavors In International Delight's 'Home Alone' Holiday Collection
As the holiday season approaches, there's nothing quite like the joy of savoring festive-themed beverages. But while some might wait until winter to indulge, International Delight is spreading cheer a little early this year. Their latest release, a Home Alone-themed collection of coffee creamers and iced coffee, is now available on shelves months before the festivities begin. In collaboration with 20th Century Studios, the brand unveiled flavors inspired by the beloved holiday blockbusters, including a brand-new flavor. Now, fans of the movie and coffee lovers alike can enjoy this nostalgic experience in their morning mugs.
What flavors are in the International Delight holiday collection?
According to a press release on July 18, the collection features four seasonal flavors, including the standout newcomer, Hot Chocolate Marshmallow Creamer. A “hot cocoa-inspired mix with notes of vanilla, milk chocolate and marshmallowy flavor,” it makes the perfect choice for those chilly mornings or cozy evenings by the fire. Alongside this, the returning fan-favorite Frosted Sugar Cookie Creamer offers a sweet, silky flavor reminiscent of freshly baked holiday cookies.
For those who favor a classic holiday taste, International Delight also brings back its Peppermint Mocha flavor in three forms. You can snag that chocolate mint goodness in a creamer, zero sugar creamer and “ready-to-drink” iced coffee. The brand discontinued its Gingerbread Cookie Dough Creamer available in previous years.
What does the International Delight holiday collection look like?
The flavors aren’t the only thing to be excited about. The partnership infuses a touch of cinematic magic, with the packaging featuring iconic scenes from Home Alone and Home Alone 2. Each product shows a cartoon version of the film’s protagonist, Kevin McAllister (played by Macaulay Culkin), making his iconic screaming face against various wintry backdrops. Past seasonal collaborations with holiday films include the Grinch and Elf.
"Teaming up with 20th Century Studios to introduce our Home Alone-inspired creamers and iced coffee adds new flavor to this classic holiday tradition” said Jennifer Michuda, Sr. Director, Creamers at Danone North America in the press release. "Some presents don't need to be wrapped, especially when they're poured in your morning mug. We hope you enjoy this fan-favorite collaboration as you spend time with family and friends this season."
The ‘Home Alone’ movies remain holiday classics
The Home Alone movies, particularly the first two installments, have become household names since their release in the early 1990s. The story centers around a young boy named Kevin McCallister, who finds himself accidentally left behind when his family travels for a Christmas vacation. Alone in his large suburban home, Kevin finds himself defending the house from two burglars, Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern), using clever and comical booby traps. The first film's blend of humor and memorable performances, especially by Culkin, has made Home Alone a cult favorite. The sequel, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, follows a similar formula but sets Kevin's adventures in New York City when he accidentally takes a different flight than his family.
How long will the International Delight holiday collection be available?
The Home Alone-themed products are available at major retailers nationwide for a limited time through December. As International Delight humorously warns, "We'll give ya till the count of 10 before they're gone!"
International Delight knows a thing or two about early releases. In fact, July 18 seems rather late compared to their 2022 holiday collection, which was released on July 12. And they aren’t just gearing up for the holidays—their fall-inspired flavors are also available now. The iconic Pumpkin Pie Spice comes in a traditional Creamer, as well as zero sugar creamer and cold foam creamer.
