Savannah Chrisley Gives Heartbreaking Update After Ex-Fiancé Nic Kerdiles' Death
As she mourned the loss of her former fiancé Nic Kerdiles, reality TV star Savannah Chrisley shared an emotional tribute on social media, opening up about their relationship and her response to his death.
On Sept. 24, the day after Kerdiles died, Chrisley shared a montage featuring sweet and personal photos and video clips from her relationship with Kerdiles, as the two were together from 2017 to 2020, getting engaged in early 2019. Despite their split in 2020, Chrisley and Kerdiles remained close.
"Nicolas Henry Stephan Kerdiles… I wish you could see all the people that are showing up and loving you right now. I can see that grin of yours so clearly. You left such a mark on this world and it’s so empty without you…" began Chrisley's tribute.
Chrisley went on, "It is impossible to believe that you are really gone...I don’t know how to react. I am so sad and so numb. I don’t want to believe it… I keep texting your phone and just hope you respond."
She described the start of their relationship, saying, "we were just kids learning about life and love and trying to make it all work," before talking about the ups and downs of her time with Kerdiles.
"We had some really great, bright moments, and we had some really hard ones, but the part of our relationship I will hold on to will always be the moments in the middle," she noted. "It will be the day to day life we got to share for 5 incredible years."
Recounting some of Kerdiles' personal charms, Chrisley wrote about his love of Starbucks and homemade carrot cake, and how he had an endearing tendency to mess up well-known clichés.
Chrisley poignantly noted, "I know we had some moments that were really, really hard, but our day to day life really was beautiful. Just because some things don’t work out, or don’t last forever, doesn’t make them less special or less meaningful."
She concluded the message by referencing the time they spent together in San Diego, Calif., writing that it "will always be unforgettable to me. It’s where we began…And I so badly wish I could hop on a flight and you be there waiting on me."
In a comment under her post, Chrisley revealed another special memory with Kerdiles, sharing that he went with her when she had to bring her father, Todd Chrisley, to Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in Florida, which she called "one of the hardest days of my life."
She thanked him for being there for her and reiterated the impact Kerdiles had on her life: "I am and will always be a better person because I knew you, because I loved you and was loved by you." Chrisley ended the note, "Gosh! I miss you… this isn’t fair!"
Many people shared condolences and notes of support for Chrisley in the comments, including Colton Underwood and Joe Giudice.
Initially, after the news broke, Chrisley responded to her ex-fiancé's death with a few posts on her Instagram Stories lamenting the loss and sharing how much she cared for Kerdiles. The 29-year-old died in a motorcycle crash that occurred in the early morning hours on Sept. 23 in Nashville, Tennessee.
