Satisfying TikTok showcases rare, exotic fruits you’ll be dying to try
There’s nothing like a piece of refreshing fruit to cool you off in the summer. But if you’re sick of your standard oranges and apples, Miami Fruit has got you covered.
The company’s TikTok highlights rare and exotic fruits — the kind you probably don’t realize you need to try until you see it. Like the abiu, a tropical fruit that looks like a lemon on the outside but its flesh actually tastes like sweet, caramel and vanilla.
Then there are also sugar apples, which look like a heart-shaped head of broccoli. Rather than biting into this apple, you eat each segment which is said to taste like custard, and then spit out the seeds.
Or maybe a mamey sapote is your exotic food of choice. It looks like a coconut on the outside, but when you cut into it, the inside is totally red and the seeds are black. The mamey sapote tastes like a sweet potato mixed with pumpkin pie but with the texture of an avocado.
Fancier folks may be most impressed by Miami Fruit’s crop of lime caviar. The small green limes look like cornichons until you break them apart. When you squeeze them, the flesh oozes out to resemble tiny, green caviar eggs.
A TikTok featuring the fruit was viewed over 2.6 million times.
“I thought these were baby pickles, what?” one person said.
“Me: screaming at the screen at 1 a.m. saying what are those,” a user said.
“I thought these were tiny pickles but I am not disappointed,” another added.
